Heating, cooling and energy services for Cape May homes and businesses.
Cape May, New Jersey
Cape May’s Victorian streetscapes are a national treasure, and a genuine HVAC puzzle. Comfort Pro heats and cools America’s oldest seaside resort with solutions that respect the architecture. That runs from ductless mini-splits in historic homes to modern systems for the B&Bs that keep the town running.
One of our recent Google reviews tells the Cape May story. Two mini-splits installed in a Victorian home, a knowledgeable estimate, respectful installers, and a price the owner called "extremely reasonable against 3 other bids." Historic homes reward contractors who plan carefully. Small line penetrations. Preserved facades. Zones that match how the rooms are actually used. That is exactly how we work in this town.
Cape May holds one of the largest collections of Victorian buildings in the country, and almost none of them were built with a place to put ductwork. Balloon-framed walls, plaster over lath, tall narrow rooms and staircases that act like chimneys are wonderful to look at and hostile to a conventional forced-air retrofit. That is why ductless mini-splits keep coming up here. A line set needs a hole roughly the width of a thumb rather than a soffit chase through a bedroom, indoor heads can be placed where they will not fight the joinery, and each room becomes its own zone, which matters in a house where the sunny south-facing parlour and the shaded back bedroom will never want the same temperature.
Cape May does not switch off in September the way the island towns further north do. The bed-and-breakfasts and guest houses keep trading through the shoulder seasons and the winter weekends, which means their systems have to swing from cooling to heating and back several times in the same month rather than settling into a season. Equipment that is asked to change its mind that often needs a controls setup that can handle it and a maintenance interval that matches the real running hours, not the calendar. And this is still the ocean: an outdoor unit two streets back from the beach is in the same salt as one on Beach Avenue, so placement and rinsing matter as much here as anywhere on the coast.
Testimonials
I called with Comfort Pro with an urgent request, spoke with Sarah. She was excellent and was able to send Aiden over quicly. Aiden was outstanding, very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I hope to have an estimate quickly and would definitely use Comfort Pro for the work. Thank you again for your quick response and being empathetic to your client’s issues.

Many thanks to Comfort Pro. I recently had a heater problem, and the response and help I received was outstanding. The office staff were courteous and helpful. When I had mistaken the service date and arrived at my condo on the wrong day, office staff was responsive, and were kind enough to send a technician after his last job of the day was completed. Chad arrived and promptly diagnosed the problem. We scheduled a followup visit as parts were needed, and that went well. Chad again was friendly, knowledgable, and able to complete the work quickly. He is a great worker. I would highly recommend Comfort Pro, and would not hesitate to call them if I have any future problelms.

What We Do
Every Comfort Pro service is available to Cape May homeowners:
The Comfort Pro Difference
We work out of 4403 Park Blvd in Wildwood and 186 Landing Rd in Cape May Court House. The truck comes from inside the county, not down the Parkway.
Nelson owns Comfort Pro and works the trucks. Google reviewers name him, and one describes him arriving at her condo himself to sort out her air conditioning.
The name says energy services and the work backs it up: duct cleaning, gas installation, boilers, air purification, humidity control, and efficiency work on the system you already own.
A maintenance plan puts your seasonal tune-ups on our calendar instead of your to-do list. One Google reviewer was offered it right there on the repair visit that brought us out.
